An elite AMEU delegation led by Pr. Redouane Rabii performed 15 complex urological and renal operations at the National Hospital of Nouakchott. Working side-by-side with local surgical teams, the mission directly applied advanced robotic surgery protocols and provided hands-on capacity building for Mauritanian staff — a model of South-South medical cooperation.

Libreville Hospital Centre (CHL)

Libreville, Gabon — July 2021

AMEU's 3rd comprehensive medical-surgical caravan in Gabon, organised in collaboration with the Gabonese Ministry of Health and CNAMGS. The team performed dozens of minimally invasive operations — from bipolar prostate vaporization to laser lithotripsy and penile prosthesis implantation. Medical equipment and medications were donated to CHL Libreville. Clinical conferences explored the therapeutic potential of cannabis (CBD) and Tabernanthe iboga (ibogaine) in a landmark bi-directional knowledge exchange.

  • Transurethral resection of the prostate (advanced bipolar vaporization)
  • Laser lithotripsy for complex bladder stones
  • Penile prosthesis implantation for severe erectile dysfunction
  • Massive donation of medical equipment and pharmaceuticals to CHL
